This study of Ruth has taught me about God's incredible love for me. I recommend that women of all ages purchase this book. I used it for individual study but there are discussion questions for group settings. I encourage you to use this four week study to find true love as you dig deeper into God's word.
Reading through this study was incredibly challenging and encouraging at the same time. The author does an excellent job communicating the history of the book, textual analysis, and practical application in an easy to read format. Perfect for an individual to read on her own or for a group study. Applicable for anyone from early adolescence on. So glad I decided to read this!
This study guide to the book of Ruth really helped me understand God's enduring love for each of us. This read helps you realize what is important in life. I love a quote in this book stating, "Our actions are either for or against God. There is not a middle ground." Renae does a really good job of breaking down each section and really making the reader think.
If you are wanting a book to guide you through a study of the book of Ruth, this is where to go! We women are gravitated towards love and romance, but our culture teaches us the wrong things about love. Doing this study brings us back to where true love began, with Jesus Christ. This is a great study for women of all ages. It can be done in groups or as an individual. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to remind themselves of their first love, Jesus!
I recently facilitated this study on Ruth with the girls in my youth group and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! This study is relevant for adults and teenage girls alike. I particularly appreciated that the author went beyond teaching us that we SHOULD present ourselves as women of God, but also WHY we are to be women of substance. I highly recommend this book for women of all ages looking to overcome superficiality and seeking the true love of Christ!
Thank you Renae for a refreshing walk through the Biblical book of Ruth. Women of all ages face the same challenge. "Am I going to pursue a superficial, culturally controlled life or a life of substance, an intimate relationship with God coupled with a life of obedience and sacrifice that has eternal value? This study in a small group setting will help women to bond and to be open to accountability if the desire is to be godly women of noble character.
This study on Ruth is great for all ages of women. Growing up as girls, we watch tv, movies, and read books where "true love" is found which teaches us to find and depend on love in the wrong things. It leads us to getting hurt. This study challenged me to dig deeper in my relationship with Christ along with other people around me. It encourages and teaches us where to find true love, which is in Jesus Christ, and how to have intentional relationships where we can share that love! It's a great study for individuals or groups!
